HM King. HM Sultan of Brunei visit the Royal Guard

Manama, June 11 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces,  today paid a visit to the BDF Royal Guard, accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen.

They were received by the BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander Lieutenant-General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Royal Guard Special Force Commander Staff Colonel HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and other senior officials.

The national anthems of the two countries were played, then Lt-Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa gave a briefing about the Royal Guard's duties and future development plans. Commemorative gifts were also exchanged on this occasion.

HM the King and HM the Sultan of Brunei then watched a number of military exercises, with the participation of Staff Colonel HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Abdul Mateen.

HM the King welcomed HM the Sultan of Brunei in one of the edifices of the Bahraini Armed Forces, hailing solid fraternal relations, particularly joint military and security cooperation between the two countries.

HM the King appreciated the fruitful efforts made by Lt-Gen. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Abdul Mateen.

He also commended the participation of Staff Colonel HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Abdul Mateen in the military exercise which was conducted by the Royal Guard affiliates.

He also commended the efforts of all affiliates of the Royal Guard, hailing their dedication in fulfilling their national duties with utmost competence, along with all BDF servicemen.

HM Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, signed the visitors' book expressing his delight at visiting the Royal Guard.

He praised the military exercises which reflect the combat capabilities of the Bahrain Defence Force, led by HM the King, the Supreme Commander.
