A major facelift of Bahrain’s first government housing town has been urged by municipal councillors.
The Southern Municipal Council yesterday unanimously voted on four proposals to immediately fix and revamp poor infrastructure facilities and amenities in Isa Town.
The councillors also want the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry, through the Urban Planning and Development Authority, to survey the whole area and present a futuristic look at how the problem of overcrowding could be addressed.
