Bahrain’s Royal Guard Wins Against Britain at the Royal Rumble II Charity Dinner

More than BD60,000 was raised to support the efforts of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation.

The Royal Rumble Boxing Championship in Bahrain unfolded under the supervision of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who serves as the First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

The collaboration between the Bahrain Boxing Federation and the Bahrain Rugby Club brought about a remarkable championship, surpassing the ordinary. The event raised over BD60,000 to support the initiatives of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation.

Expressing his sincere congratulations, His Highness Sheikh Khalid praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the Royal Guard team's triumph in the championship, securing six victories out of nine against the British Army's "Parachute Unit" – a testament to Bahraini boxing prowess.

When asked about the Royal Guard team's exceptional performance, His Highness attributed it to their engagement with elite international teams, gaining valuable experience and elevating their skills. Notably, Bahrain's combat sports, particularly boxing, are gaining prominence.
