A book and a place has returned.
The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities held another successful ‘A Book and a Place’ initiative aimed at promoting the culture of reading.
The second edition, held at the Bahrain National Museum’s library, was launched in co-operation with the ‘We All Read Society’. It was in conjunction with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation-approved World Book and Copyright Day held annually on April 23.
The first session featured a talk with librarian Tariq Khawaji from the King Abdulaziz Centre for World Culture, also known as Ithra. According to organisers, the event witnessed a remarkable presence of readers.
The programme will continue in the coming months, with dates to be announced later on by the authority on @culturebah on Instagram.
