The Bahrain Darts Masters will kick off tonight at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) with 16 players ready to take their shot at the title. An official draw was held at Bahrain Rugby Football Club in Saar on Wednesday evening to determine the matchups for this evenings first round. Eight Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) icons will play against eight leading players from across Asia, including Bahrain.

Conducting the draw were BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa and CBX CEO Carlo Boutagy.

The results are as follows:
Luke Humphries vs Abdulla Saeed
Nathan Aspinall vs Xiaochen Zong
Stephen Bunting vs Nitin Kumar
Chris Dobey vs Basem Mahmood
Luke Littler vs Lourence Ilagan
Gerwyn Price vs Lok Yin Lee
Rob Cross vs Paolo Nebrida
Peter Wright vs Alexis Toylo

Recently crowned first-time World Champion and defending champion in Bahrain, Luke Littler, said: “The first round in any competition is not easy – nothing’s easy in the PDC, but for us it’s going to be a good first round of the games.”
Fans with tickets were able to meet the darters one and one for an autograph sessions.

The competition is also sold out and only ticket holders will be admitted to the venue. Gates at BIC are scheduled to open at 6pm tonight and tomorrow, with the matches being held from 8pm tonight and from 7pm tomorrow. The semi-finals and final will also take place Friday night at BIC.

The Bahrain Darts Masters is organised by BIC and sports promoter CBX, and is supported by Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority. Meanwhile, fans attending at BIC will have the chance to take part in a fancy dress competition to win the incredible prize of tickets to this year’s World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace in London.

The contest will be held each night at the BIC Dome, and one winner will be awarded a pair of tickets each evening for the person judged to have the best fancy dress outfit. Colourful costumes have become a major part of the Bahrain Darts Masters, similar to many other darts events all over the world.
