Traveller makes his cycling dreams a reality
Adventurer Ervin Espock is fulfilling his dream of cycling around the world and has recently completed his leg in the kingdom.
The 37-year-old set off from Blacy (Marne) last year in September and has journeyed through Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary (the land of his ancestors), Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Cyprus, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
He arrived in Bahrain on April 21st and shared his story at the French Embassy in the presence of media members.
“I really appreciate the warm and polite people and the design infrastructure,” Espock told Radio Bahrain.
His round-the-world trip continued over the weekend to Karachi, Pakistan. Once he completes that trip, he will return to France, making it full circle.
Espock, who joined the Foreign Legion at the age of 17 in the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (REP), is also preparing a book to tell the story of his life and his adventures, which will be published in one- or two-years’ time.
All of this has been based on his quest for happiness, self-discovery and betterment to support his family in any future circumstance.
