The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities is launching a unique cultural programme, Gathering at the Pearling Path, in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan starting tomorrow (March 10).
There will be an array of musical events and workshops running until March 25 at the Pearling Path Visitor and Experience Centre in Muharraq and the event will take place daily from 9pm to midnight, with extended hours until 1am on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
This event coincides with the launch of the Ramadan in Bahrain events calendar by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, bringing an exciting variety of cultural, heritage, and entertainment activities to the community. Over 10 days, visitors can enjoy traditional music performances, educational workshops, and experiences that showcase the rich Bahraini customs and traditions associated with Ramadan.
Families and children will find something special with dedicated activities, including a traditional games corner, creative workshops on Ramadan-themed crafts like Gurgaon bags and crescent moon paintings, and more. On March 13 and 14, the Celebrating Gurgaon event will see a lively procession from Al Ghus House to Al Jalahma House, featuring performances by Shabab Al Hidd and Qalali Folk Bands, with children participating in the festivities.
In addition, guests can enjoy a lecture by Dr Abdullah Al Sulaiti at Haneen Sedra and explore local treasures at the Muharraq Auction hosted by Amarat Fakhro. Foodies will also have the chance to sample traditional Bahraini dishes.
