Bahrain Mourns Loss Of Servicemen

BAHRAIN yesterday mourned the deaths of two BDF servicemen who were killed in a Houthi drone attack along the border between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has issued the following statement:

"The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) deeply mourns the tragic loss of several brave servicemen who valiantly gave their lives in the line of duty. We extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the families of these heroic fallen soldiers. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. We also pray for Allah's mercy upon the fallen servicemen and ask for patience and solace for their families. Additionally, we pray for a swift recovery for the wounded and injured personnel."

"On Monday, September 25, 2023, during their dedicated service in the Arab Coalition forces as part of Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Restoring Hope, an officer and a soldier from the Bahrain Defence Force were tragically killed. Several others were wounded in an act of aggression conducted by the Houthi forces, who utilized unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs). These attacks targeted the Bahraini task force stationed in the southern region, specifically along the borders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

"In response to the incident, the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has deployed a medical team via aircraft to evacuate the wounded, injured, and fallen servicemen back to the Kingdom of Bahrain. This immediate action demonstrates our commitment to providing prompt medical assistance and support."

"We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the fallen servicemen and remain steadfast in our dedication to their well-being."
